Introduction

Greetings! Thank you for your interest in my writing. A freelance writer since 1991, my byline and photos have appeared in more than 50 publications around the globe. Currently I am the Phoenix Travel Examiner at Examiner.com and a regular contributor to BlownMortgage.com. I am also acting as an editorial assistant on a project for the STEM Education Coalition. A resident of the American Southwest, I am available for freelance writing and photography assignments throughout Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Northern Mexico. My favorite topics include writing about science and history for kids and literary or luxury travel. My most recent clips are an update to an article about the Medici Project in Florence, Italy and a news brief about a discount being offered to Americans visiting Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy. I was recently, commissioned to write and photograph the Way Out West Oktoberfest and Phoenix Oktoberfest for German Life magazine. I look forward to hearing from you!

Experience & Expertise

In the Fall of 2008, I enrolled in an Advanced Library Technology Certificate program in Arizona. My current class list includes one of the nation's only serials management course. I founded Informed Ideas, a LinkedIN Group and Ning social network for all types of professional writers around the world in February 2008. We exceeded 500 members less than 6 weeks later and currently have more than 1,700 members. A resident of Phoenix, Arizona, I am familiar with the resorts, restaurants, and activities throughout metro area and am happy to travel to any local location. At present I do not have any trips outside Arizona planned.

My byline has also appeared in more than 50 publications and websites including Budget Travel, Renaissance Magazine, Learning Through History, Italian American News, Omaha Magazine, Budget Travel. In addition to travel writing, I have published extensively on international financial, accounting and tax topics and am also a regular contributor to BlownMortgage.com My editorial experience include 2 years as Managing Editor of AccountingWEB.com. I am currently acting as the editorial assistant for a STEM Education Coalition project and will be moving into the role of Production Editor when the project reaches that stage.
