Introduction
I spent two years in Malawi when I was a pre-teen and that experience instilled in me, early in life, the value of travel. It took a few decades for me to be again in a position where I could seek out people, places and things that are different from what I'm used to and then to find a few folks who actually want to read about these adventures. I'm absolutely thrilled to get on the airplane (or train, or...) and it doesn't matter whether I'm headed for Malaysia or Milwaukee; I know I'm going to have fun and I feel blessed to get to relive those moments everytime I write an article
