Introduction
Very experienced journalist who is originally from the UK but now living in Indonesia. I have freelanced for eight years, writing mainly about travel, but also about sport, alcohol and teaching. Before that I worked for some of the biggest Internet portals, mobile phone companies and magazines in the UK, including a stint as the Senior Producer on Britain's Pop Idol (the forerunner to American Idol). I am flexible, adventurous and hard-working and always looking for the next destination to cover or a new angle on a familiar place.
Experience & Expertise
I currently live in Indonesia and have previously lived in Thailand and Korea, so I am very well versed in these and other south-east Asian destinations. My other main areas of travel have been in western Europe, the US and Africa. I have written a variety of articles on these destinations and my experiences for magazines, Internet sites and newspapers. I have also written articles on the trade and industry side of travel for many of the publications listed above. One of the most interesting publications I worked for was "Drinks International" where I would travel the world to review bars and drinks.
