Introduction
Kris King worked in the music industry throughout her life, the last 15 years with her own record promotion company, she began with Celine Dion's first two English language singles and retired in 2001 with a Richard Marx record. A concert photographer for over 20 years, King began her travel-writing career covering jazz festivals. In March 2006, King combined her love of music, travel, writing and photography into the on-line travel magazine eJazz Travel. eJazz Travel covers jazz festivals, cruises, events and their destination. King was copy editor of the Jazz Report magazine for twenty years, is co-owner of the National Jazz Awards Canada, a member of Jazz Journalists Association, Canadian Association of Journalists and Editorial Photographers. She is an official photographer for the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and is currently working on a 13 series 'LIVE' concert television show. Jazz Journalists Association has nominated King for ‘Photographer of the Year’ several times; her photographs have appeared in books, magazines, newspapers, CD covers, billboards and websites.
