Introduction

I love, and have a great deal of experience in, travel writing. In addition, I write weekly for a Media Relations firm in West Palm Beach, Florida. These assignments can relate to anything from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or a new golf club grip, to a trial medicine dispenser for infants or the latest equipment in harvesting umbilical cord stem cells. My forte is research and the ability to spin an over-used concept into a headline and introductory paragraph that the media will notice. I live in beautiful south central Oklahoma near lakes, rolling hills and kind people, but I am less than an hour from Oklahoma City and one and one half hours from Dallas/Ft. Worth. I am lucky to have many clients across the country who would be happy to recommend my talents and confirm my attention to deadlines. With all that, I am always looking for an interesting assignment.

Experience & Expertise

I have been in the travel/tourism business since 1979. Started by writing, and getting published, successful press relelases for my ad agency clients. In the 90s I wrote and published what turned out to be a regionally popular series of 4 travel books about California destinations which included signature recipes from innkeepers and winemakers. I currently write, and provide photography for a monthly travle column in High Plains Journal, the midwest's most prestigious agricultural magazine whose 53,000 plus subscribers and in 11 states and whose readership is just short of 500,000 propective travelers. I have been on retainer as Media & Public Relations for the Toy & Action Figure Museum (one of Time Magazine's Top 50 Most Authentic American Experiences in 2009), Kevin Stark - fine artist, musician, comic strip and comic book writer/illustrator, and successful entrepreneur, and author Baker Fore of "Life Sucks so get rich" fame and whose book my company published.
