Introduction
I studied a BA in English Literature and Historical Studies at Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. A few years later I did a TESOL course and have taught English in Japan, and in China for about six years. I like to travel, explore new hideouts, and if anything interesting, extraordinary, humorous, or just unusual happens, it would be an added bonus. I'm an active person, I like keeping fit, and have literary and artistic interests besides writing and photography such as in music and reading.
Experience & Expertise
Ten years ago I enrolled on a travel writer's and photgrapher's correspondence course which folded before I had finished it. Using the manuals which came with the course, a few books and information from websites that offer travel writing guidelines and examples, I have been gaining inspiration trying out several ways to write and improve articles about some of my experiences traveling in China. I have traveled in Indochina and have recently returned from a trip to Vietnam and kept a diary/travelogue about the journey which I am now using for working on a blog. Check it out at http://vietnamtrails.wordpress.com. I have also begun to churn out articles about the experience. The pressure of time and budgeting prohibits me from doing more traveling as does the job as an English teacher.
