Introduction

After earning a degree in English from UCLA, I began my career as a travel writer for the Automobile Club of Southern. Over three decades, I've exercised my passion for words as an advertising copywriter, corporate communicator, PR writer and newspaper columnist. I'm now a full-time freelance journalist who spends nearly 50% of every year traveling, between extended landings in Sunset Beach, CA and Amsterdam, NL. My writing encompasses a broad range of topics, from profile stories on retailers and celebrities to features on destination wedding venues, honeymoons, budget to luxury travel, and cycling tours in the U.S. and abroad. I'm a member of North American Travel Journalists, Southern California Writers Association, Bicycle Club of Irvine and the Sierra Club's bicycle touring section.
