Introduction

Need a young and enthusiastic journalist, with a different point of view? Look no further! I know, I won't be really unique.. But the countries I get to cover truly are. I'd love to report about different places and share what can be found - or what I've found - over there.

Experience & Expertise

Aged sixteen I left home to move to the other side of the world. I took part in a so called 'High-school year' in New Zealand, which turned out to be a life-changing experience. I got addicted to travelling, to meeting new people, different cultures and stretching my 'borders' to the max. I've recently started to combine my writing with photography, which makes it easier to work on my own and complet articles without having to fuss about extra footage.

Publishing Credentials

I have been active as a journalist for many years now, writing about theatre, literature, music, lifestyle and everything els that might come along. My special love is, and will always be, interviewing and writing about travel experiences. So far, most of my publications have been in Dutch, which makes it quite hard to create a list on my profile. I would surely like to challenge myself and write in English as well, a language that feels like home to me. Recently, I've been reporting about my travel around Istanbul for Viva.nl (http://www.viva.nl/category/gastbloggers/saar/) - the website of one of the biggest magazines for women in The Netherlands. I've also written a lot of articles for Ze.nl, CJP.nl (Cultural Youth Pass), ikhouvantheater.nl (theatre reviews), www.coak.nl (Cut Out And Keep, my personal website) and several newspapers and magazines in The Netherlands.
