Introduction

I am a past Managing Editor of Surfing Magazine in San Clemente, California. Since I first set off to Central America at the age of 16, I have developed a love/hate addiction with travel. Love: Because there is no better teacher than travel. Hate: Because there's a good chance I may never find a permanent place to call home. In short, I am inspired by last minute plane tickets, blank itineraries and the philosophy that there are always new pieces of the Globe that have yet to be put on the map. Since going freelance in 2009, I have written for various surfing and travel publications, including Australia's Surfing Life Magazine, Time Out and Surf Europe. Experience & Expertise

I enjoy traveling that involves nearly no planning, or frills for that matter. I have scoured remote islands in the Aleutians in search of surf, driven the length of Japan in a borrowed VW Bus and discovered the beautiful side of an often ugly Venezuela, just to name a few.
