Experience & Expertise

I have worked in the travel industry on three continents with major organizations and have traveled widely. My focus has been innovative product and program development. My M.A. degree in English, has been a priceless asset, as a primary responsibility was the independent planning, composing and execution of editorial and pictorial content, for promotional material, sales collateral, destination brochures, training and operational manuals, contracts, conducting of seasonal promo launches, through public forums, radio, workshops, and training of sales personnel in destination knowledge and operations. Launching a career in travel writing is a natural next step for me. Travel writing is about seeing the world anew every day. It demands you pay minute attention to where you are, what you see, how it affects you and travelers in general. This includes the smells, the sounds, the tastes, the cultural differences, the food, the music, the culture, the costumes, the history, geography, the politics, the economics, and the issues of the day in each destination. It's this meeting people and uncovering of the universal truths and fundamental differences about destinations the world over that gives my life its greatest texture and interest.. “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking for your passion." Steve Jobs, Apple. This is what I am doing in my decision to launch a travel writing career, following my passion and living it.
