Experience & Expertise

I have been writing travel since 1992, encompassing adventurous activities such as paragliding, sailing, diving, caving, trekking etc. For four years from 1994, I circumnavigated Australia in my own sailboat - covering stories as I went. Highlights of my career would have to be icecap-caving in Greenland and cross country skiing/ trekking in Kamchatka, Russia. My base is Kuala Lumpur, basically because that gives me a central base from which to explore the world. I do write rather more genteel travel articles though, such as cruises and cultural travel.
